Elvira received her Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University in 2008 and started serving families in East Palo Alto and Redwood City in 1997. With 27 years of experience in education, she has had the privilege of serving as a teacher, mentor, leader, and site director. Her journey began with a deep passion for cultivating young minds, guiding them through their academic and personal growth. As a teacher, Elvira has witnessed countless transformative moments in the classroom, where she fostered a love for learning and empowered students to achieve their goals. Transitioning into leadership roles, Elvira supported and inspired new educators, sharing insights and strategies that enhance their teaching practices. Elvira has worked diligently to shape educational programs and policies that prioritize student success to foster a positive learning environment by staying abreast of educational trends and best practices.
