Got Questions? We Can Help!

How does partnering with BTPDP benefit our district?

BTPDP strengthens your bilingual teacher pipeline, helps fill teacher shortages in critical areas, and ensures your educators receive top-notch training and financial support.

What is the partnership agreement process?

After reviewing the LEA Overview Video and materials, you’ll submit a request to partner. SEAL will then work with you to formalize a tailored partnership agreement that meets your district’s specific goals and timeline.

Is there a cost for our district?

SEAL leverages state funding to cover most credentialing fees and support costs. Districts may need to provide certain in-kind resources—such as time for teacher recruitment, letters of recommendation, and coordination with SEAL staff.

How does our district recruit teacher candidates?

Working closely with SEAL, you’ll identify potential bilingual teacher candidates, encourage them to apply, and support them through the program steps (e.g., providing letters of recommendation).

What about long-term support and retention?

BTPDP includes ongoing professional development, coaching, and a community network—providing a solid foundation for teacher growth and retention. This comprehensive support helps districts maintain a strong bilingual teaching force over time.

How soon can we start?

Partnership timelines can vary, but once your request is approved, you can onboard and begin recruiting teachers right away. SEAL will guide you through each stage.
